The opening of Japan to foreign trade through the use of coercion by Foreign Nations

When the foreign trade field of US scattered at early 19th century , Japan had been practicing closed door policy and the seaports were closed for merchandising .Thus, the unsatisfied US president Millard Fillmore sent US navy officer Mathew C.Perry to open the door coercion .He learned details the history of Japan .He decided to to show Japan the military power to give the white flag.
